Reflections on my Christian deconstruction journey thus far.

Has there ever been a time where all of humanity agreed on something? Has there ever been a time a family or close group of friends agreed on every. single. thing….ever?

My personal belief is that no, there’s no world where every human agrees on the same exact thing. To this day, people are still arguing about whether or not the earth is flat, whether 1+1 actually equals 2, and so on. So, where did the idea ever come about that one day everyone would agree that Jesus is Lord?

With all that has gone on in the world, I believe that even if Jesus came again, there would be similar experiences to the bible of people questioning Jesus because of all the chaos that has ensued since His departure. I would also argue that some would not be interested in the invitation to spend eternity with Him in heaven, even if He was found to be real.

Just to quickly add to the point about, even if someone saw Jesus, they still might not convert — I say this because, even if Jesus revealed Himself, it would still leave a lot of room for questions about all the things that have ensued. I’m sure many people would wonder “why now, and not…
