Representation Matters?
What if that’s only part of the equation.
I can’t tell you how overjoyed my inner child has been over the past few years to see so much representation of black women killing the game. Black women living in luxury, simplicity, ease, bliss, boss life, literally as whatever they want to be. Lately my favorite has been seeing black women in the multi-hyphenate space.
mul·ti-hy·phen·ate: a person with several professions or skills.

This has been my favorite space, as, I have always had several skills I knew I was good at. And I am going to do it all. I am grateful to be this way, however, for the longest time,I felt alone in this. In my world, most people are likely multi-hyphenates, the world just tries to make you focus on one thing and get great at it. While I appreciate and understand this view, I also feel it minimizes the abilities and capabilities of humans.
We are humans, equipped with the most intrecate technology in the world (our brains) and we’re supposed to be highly skilled in just one thing…
